- Faculty Council-

Who are we?

Philipp Kreis

FSE Council

Hi! I’m Phil, a third-year UCM student focusing on international relations, law, and the EU. In my free time, I enjoy doing sports, taking photos, debating at Model-UNs, and being engaged in Amnesty International and ECA. Apart from its 1.5°C goal, I will make mental health and inclusivity one of the priorities in the Faculty Council. Further, every student should have access to affordable housing. FSE should also extend its scholarships for financially disadvantaged and non-EU students.

Manuel Mtsoumou

FSE Council

I'm Manu, a third year student at UCM. In my three years at the university, I've been involved at UCM, the faculty and KAN to bring about positive change and ensure students are represented as best as they can. In my free time, I enjoy going on runs and watching documentaries.

Ruben Backx

FSE Council

Hallo! My name is Ruben and I’m a third year at UCM studying international relations and economics. When I’m not doing readings, I like to play football, hang out with friends or go for ‘one’ beer. Previously, I was the Treasurer and Vice-President of UCM’s study association. Now, I hope to use my experience and voice to represent you on the Faculty Council. I want to empower the UM2030 Task Force for Sustainability to push for more positive change, ensure both student and staff wellbeing is considered at the decision-making level, and to provide further support for UM students in all housing-related issues.

Our Projects at FSE

  • We started a workgroup in the council that will investigate the mental health support offered to students and whether it is sufficient & devise ways to improve the mental health infrastructure at FSE.

  • Manuel Davy Ntsoumou, KAN party representative has been elected to the diversity and inclusivity council to the university and where he hopes to change certain policies

  • We have also worked on getting additional bike spots for students at FSE.

  • We have set up a wellbeing working group to look at all the solutions and problems in the faculty.
